Sweet Apple

MILTON, GA

Sweet Apple is a now iconic neighborhood in Milton, GA developed and built by Atlanta-based Brightwater Homes. A unique conservation focused design that placed 25 acres in the community into a conservation land trust sets Sweet Apple apart and creates unique siting with homes placed on acre homesites that are narrow but deep. The result is that homes are pulled closer to the street and to one another, allowing the back half of the homesites to accommodate the conserved natural landscapes and private neighborhood trail system. Sweet Apple is also one of the first all solar neighborhoods in Georgia.

Sweet Apple exemplifies the Farmhouse architectural style, apropos of the rural horse farm character of its Milton surroundings. Rendered in both traditional and more modern forms, the community’s farmhouse designs range from 3000 to more than 5000 square feet and explore a broader color range from whites and greys to striking charcoals and bronzes. Homes take full advantage of the lush natural settings and topography – sited prominently atop rolling hills or comfortably tucked away amongst plentiful trees and greenery. At every corner, details are intentionally designed and thoughtfully placed to create a timeless yet perfectly modern composition. Look for sweeping wrap-around porches, classic board and batten, clapboard, contrasting garage and trim details, porch brackets, natural wood tones and timber as well as outbuildings honoring the rural vernacular.
