Allenbrook Lane

ROSWELL, GA

Allenbrook Lane is home to a small group of just four infill homes by Brightwater Homes, just north of historic Roswell. The site began as a single lot, a leftover from the area’s more rural past with a little farmhouse and several outbuildings scattered in a bad state of disrepair. The site was divided into four modern homesites along the side street, and design work began with the intent of capturing the rural nature of the original site and evoking the memory of those scattered rural farm buildings that once stood there.

The first home is a class farmhouse with a striking wrap-around porch situated along the corner with the main street. The second is reminiscent of an old stable with the garage calling to mind a separate, smaller outbuilding. The third home has the look of an old barn that has been converted to a home with a stone garage reminiscent of a possible smoke house. The fourth and final home is another traditional farmhouse set at the other end of the property as though created for an extended family as often happens in rural Georgia.
